2025 Leadership Award

The 2025 Menlo-Atherton (M-A) High School girls varsity volleyball team concluded a successful 2025 season with an overall record of 24–11. They dominated the Peninsula Athletic League, finishing 1st with a 12–2 conference record. The stellar seniors included Jocelyn Chang, Kayla Greenbaum, Lily Jacobi, Tamara Rubinsky, Ruby Stone, and Kylie Winters.

At the end of the season, Coach Denny Falls presented this year’s Eliza Grover Leadership Award to graduating senior Ruby “Bee” Stone. In their near-unanimous nominations, Bee’s teammates celebrated her hard work, talented play, and deep devotion to the sport of volleyball. More than that, they noted her infectious positive attitude, her support of younger players, and the ways she always sought to bring the team together. In the words of one player, Bee made a “tremendous impact in creating a positive and supportive environment for the entire MA program.”

Ruby joins previous awardees Samantha Lin (Class of ‘24) and Meki Maile (Class of ‘25) on a plaque that now lives in M-A’s Pride Hall.
